The meter is based on a rotary vane water meter and is equipped with a new type of low-power, high-torque output, pressure-loss-free motor control valve, a microcomputer controller and a radio frequency card operation module.
The product performance complies with the national standard GB/T778-2007 and the Ministry of Construction industry standard CJ/T133-2007 and the drinking water and cold water meter safety rules CJ266-2008, and can be used for the metering and charging of water for residences, enterprises and institutions.

Core Concept & Functionality
The IC Card Prepaid Water Meter is a sophisticated electronic water meter that operates on a pay-as-you-use principle. It integrates a traditional mechanical water flow sensor (like a piston or turbine) with advanced electronics, an LCD display, a solenoid valve, and an IC card reader.
Prepaid Operation (Key Feature):
Users purchase water credit (typically in cubic meters or gallons) from an authorized vendor/utility.
This credit is electronically loaded onto a secure, contact-type IC Card (Integrated Circuit Card).
The user inserts the IC card into the meter's reader.
The meter reads the available credit and adds it to its internal memory.
Water flows normally as long as credit is available.
The meter continuously deducts credit based on real-time water consumption.
